A private home-exchange network for international organisation professionals

Verified professionals. Trusted homes. No strangers.
The inefficiency
Your home may be empty while someone else is paying to stay in your city.
Rotation moves people, not property. A posting begins and a home sits closed for months, while a colleague arriving in the same city signs a short let at commercial rates, and another does the same in the city you have just left. Everybody pays a market that exists only because two homes are empty at the wrong times, and the money leaves the community entirely.

Typical annual accommodation costs associated with international moves.
Typical accommodation spend.
Potential short-let pricing in some cities.
The core idea
The network is the product.
UnSwap is intentionally closed. Every member is verified through their international organisation, creating a community where trust travels with you.

Institutional identity verification.
Private

Reciprocal

Questions
Before you request access
Who can join UnSwap?
Professionals employed by international organisations, verified through their institutional affiliation. Access is by request, and every member is checked before they can browse, list or message.
Do I need to work for the UN?
No. The UN system is well represented, but eligibility extends across international organisations, including development banks, financial institutions, agencies and comparable bodies.
How does verification work?
Members are verified against eligible organisation domains, or through manual review where an institutional email alone is not enough to confirm affiliation.
Do members pay each other?
No. Homes are exchanged rather than rented, so no nightly rate passes between members. You pay an annual membership to UnSwap, and nothing to the person whose home you stay in.
What are credits?
One credit equals one night. You earn credits by hosting and spend them when you stay, which means two members never have to want each other's homes at the same time.
How does property protection work?
Exchanges are covered by a property damage guarantee up to the stated coverage for your membership, alongside the exchange agreement generated for every accepted exchange.
Can I exchange internationally?
Yes. The network is built around duty stations worldwide, and most exchanges are between members in different countries.
What happens if my exchange request is declined?
Nothing is charged and no credits move. Members decline for reasons of timing far more often than anything else, and you are free to request another home straight away.
How does membership work?
Membership is annual, and the tier you choose sets how many exchanges you can make in that year. Lifetime membership is a single payment for unlimited access.
What happens when my membership ends?
Your listing stops being visible to the network and you cannot start new exchanges. Credits you have already earned are held against your account, and renewing restores access to them.
Your next home may already be part of the network.
